In short
We don't ask for your name, email or any other personal data, and there are no accounts.
We don't use third-party analytics or profiling cookies.
What we keep
To improve the service we keep, anonymously, in our database: the question text, the date and time, the question type, the tools used to answer, the response times, the outcome (answer, clarification, error) and any thumbs up or down you give, with the optional comment.
Don't put personal data about you or others in your question: it isn't needed to answer.
What we don't keep
The conversation lives only in the open page: close or reload it and it's gone.
We don't store your IP address. To limit abuse we compute, in memory, a fingerprint (hash) of the address with a secret that changes every day. The fingerprint never reaches disk and cannot be traced back to the address.
Shared conversations
If you press "Share", we store that conversation so we can show it to whoever gets the link: the questions, the answers and their sources. Nothing else: no IP address, no account.
The link carries a random code that is hard to guess, and search engines don't index the page. Anyone with the link can read it: don't put personal data in questions you share.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we don't keep your email address: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, with servers in the European Union) handles it. Brevo stores the address and the proof of consent, that is the date and the IP address you confirmed from, because subscribing requires an email confirmation (double opt-in).
We never link your address to the questions you ask. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Who processes the question
To write the answer we send the question text, with the latest messages of the conversation, to OpenAI, the language model provider. OpenAI processes it to generate the answer under its API terms.
Preferences on your device
Your browser remembers the theme you pick (system, light or dark) in local storage. The language depends on the page address. There are no other cookies.
